The manga Yotsuba &! Azuma Kiyohiko festeggia in grande stile i suoi 10 anni di pubblicazione. A Tokyo nel quartiere Akibahara, infatti, è stata allestita la galleria d’arte “Le Deco” per celebrare il grande traguardo raggiunto. Le Deco espone numerose opere tra cui una riproduzione di cartone di Yotsuba a grandezza naturale, un murale contenente tutte le illustrazioni per calendari fatti da Kiyokito e moltissime altre opere. Il manga è stato pubblicato in Italia dalla Dynit che però lo ha interrotto.
La trama di Yotsuba&! è molto leggera e carina:
Il furgoncino avanza lentamente nell’abitato, passa davanti a una scuola e la bambina saluta entusiasta le studentesse in uniforme, agitando la manina. Quando si è piccoli, a move would cause much excitement, but the boxes are heavy to carry home ...! Far better to chase a butterfly, hidden away and walk to the playground. Even more fun to make a catapult in the swing or climb on top of a light pole, while relatives and neighbors, on the verge of a nervous breakdown, they wonder where the hell has driven this time, Yotsuba! But wait ... is she the one running bike (borrowed the sporting goods department) along the aisles of the supermarket? But ... damn, why the house is full of cicadas?! An adorable disaster girl, who like all the kids know to be evil and naive, overbearing and sweet.
