The Smurfs are reborn in computer graphics in the film directed by Raja Gosnell (Big Mama, Scooby-Doo), written by J. David Stem and David N. Weiss (Shrek 2 and 3) and produced by Sony Pictures Animation. Mixture of live footage and CGI, the film will carry the famous characters of Peyo in Times Square: Gargamel (Hank Azaria) does not want to eat "the strange blue stone figures, but plan to catch to take possession of their magical essence. After the eruption of the irascible wizard in their village, the Smurfs are fleeing into the woods, but one of loro, il solito Tontolone, sbaglia direzione e si rifugia in una grotta proibita con tanto di seguito. Guardacaso è la terza notte di Luna piena e, attraverso la caverna, un portale magico proietta ai giorni nostri, nel centro di New York, tutta la combriccola… Tra i Puffi che vedremo nella pellicola, Puffo Quattrocchi, Puffetta, Puffo Coraggioso, Puffo Brontolone e l’immancabile Grande Puffo. Il film sarà nei nostri cinema il 19 settembre e ad agosto negli USA. Curiosità: il primo episodio della serie originale s’intitola “Les Schtroumpfs noirs” (I Puffi neri) e appare in Italia a puntate sul Corriere dei piccoli , dando al fumetto il titolo ufficiale con cui lo conosciamo nel nostro country: The Smurfs.
